Over the last three years the Partnership has spearheaded various National Level workshops in e-learning and Higher Education Management.
In January 2002, Tunisia established the Virtual University of Tunis (UVT). In collaboration with all Tunisian Universities, UVT aims to (1) solve the challenge of the steady growth of students in higher education by progressively applying distance education (2) Foster a continuing learning environment for the students and upgrading of skills of the faculty.
University of Georgia has signed an educational Partnership with the UVT to help develop the capacity of the Tunisian Higher education through human resource development, training of trainers and plan, develop and produce new instructional materials |

Training in E-learning |

Two National level workshops in e-learning have been conducted so far. The workshop/training has been designed to enhance the instructional capabilities, leadership potential and provide the Tunisian professors with expertise to utilize new technology to improve instruction. The training has successfully impacted more then 100 Tunisian professor, orienting them in technical, administrative and pedagogical aspect of e-learning.

Training In Higher Education management |

The two week workshop in 2004 at UGA hosted eleven professors training them on higher education management topics such as human resource development, public service and outreach, assessment and evaluation and student affairs. The training not only enriched their experience, but motivated them to become advocates of change within their own institutions.
